The Curtis Brothers

Pianist Zaccai Curtis and his bassist brother Luques have played with many prominent jazz musicians, including Sean Jones, Chico Freeman, Cindy Blackman, Ralph Peterson and pianist Eddie Palmieri. Though they maintain separate careers, they also work together as “The Curtis Brothers” in configurations that specialize in Cubop and American Classical Music. In addition to their latest musical recordings, Completion Of Proof (2012), Syzygy (2017) and Algorithm (2019) they’ve created the record label TRRcollective and most recently developed the free app, “The Riff: Music News” available on apple and android.
